This document lists government data sources from different countries, including databases for public records, legal information, cadastral data, license plates, passport information, and more.
- Blackbookonline.info (USA): Find information on, mostly, US citizen’s public records.
- Cadastre (FR): France cadastral database.
- CanLII (CAN): Canadian database with legal information.
- Gemeenschap van goederen register (NL): Find out if someone is married ‘in gemeenschap van goederen’. Warning: as from 1996.
- Géoportail (FR): Find all kinds of possible maps of France, including their cadastral info.
- Kadaster - Bagviewer (NL): Search the map of the Netherlands to find data about houses/business properties.
- Lumen: Database that collects and analyzes legal complaints and requests for removal of online materials.
- National Archives (USA): Giant archive with lots of records of the USA, including records from different wars, government spending, etc., from 1800 till now.
- Officiële bekendmakingen (NL): Find officially published permits, etc.
- Passport index: Find all different kinds of passports.
- Passport stamps: Quite a nice overview of stamps issued by different countries.
- PublicRecords: Not only USA, also worldwide.
- PublicRecords - Netherlands: Only Dutch public record databases.
- Publieke Dienstverlening op de kaart (PDOK) (NL): Very helpful database to see information regarding public services on a map. You can view a map of the railways, where the boundaries of a city are, bridges, etc., all in the Netherlands.
